You are taking how many kids?  For how many days?  Overnight?  

My response is this:

I sure am!  We are embarking on this odyssey with students because it will give them a sense of adventure.  They will be encouraged to explore the unknown, to strengthen their relationships and to have positive social experiences.  Their interactions will contribute to their developmental needs as a young adolescent.

The focus is on the group’s ability to cooperate with each other on a daily basis and around daily living.  Our adolescents are no longer children.  They are taller, stronger, and are gaining more experiences with each day.  They are fearless and see the possibilities in their lives.  They are building a community and embracing the challenge.

For many adolescents, this step away from home is their first and holds great significance.
